The Next Generation

African and Modern Dance are what we do. Our spiritual exploration through dance transforms our service into the experience it has become. Under the leadership and training of Sis. Faye Moore, the dance ministry has become a magnet for our youth and a refreshing revisit for those who have danced professionally or novice in their past.

Our mission is to assure all spiritual matters are in order: pastoral support, pastoral extension and mediator to the church fellowship, secure benevolent funds, govern prayer services and provide worship leadership.

College or Bust:

Friendship has an amazing percentage of High school students that attend college, not to overlook we host a 90% college graduate rate. To support this we take the task of monitoring the grades and develop a line of communication with their high school guidance counselors. We support HBCU colleges by connecting with local tour groups; we research the available grants, and programs that present college credits while in HS, Internships, 2nd languages & college prep courses.

Our mission is to wholeheartedly support the Pastor in anyway necessary. We are a helpmate to the Deacons. We set the example of what a Christian Woman should be, how she should conduct and carry herself. We are to be courteous and respectful in speech, always willing to listen, help resolve conflict, and promote a Christian way of life. Simply, we are about our father's business and doing his will.

The pastoral care ministry is the most unique ministry in the church. Being connected to the pastor beyond his church obligations and responsibilities is where we shine. We're in tune with his movement, spirit, mindset, and temperament. We do what it takes to restore, repair, sustain, uplift, and encourage our pastor so that he may continue to provide the discipleship and the community with the ministerial services they may seek through the faith community.

"The ministry of the usher goes far beyond opening a door. The purpose of this ministry is to reflect the Christian dedication of the Pastor and all who come to worship. Ushers are the most important people in the Church because they provide visitors with the first and last impression!
Psalm 84:10 " For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness."

Women of all ages united in love and living up to their spiritual responsibility enriching their church and community through their: gifts, works, and words; for the glory of God.
Matthew 5:13-16 (KJV) "...Ye are the salt of the earth...Ye are the light of the world…."

We lift our voices and instruments in song on one accord in Praise and Thanksgiving to God. Our purpose is to be a vessel through which the presence of God is ushered in. To set and establish an atmosphere that is conducive to worship, praise, readying of the mind, heart, and spirit for the Word of God. To sing and minister as one body; one voice in unity for the Glory of God.
2 Chronicles 5:13-14
It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priest could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

The Brotherhood of Friendship meets every Friday evening throughout the year, this enables the Brothers to remain up to date with the well-being of the church, the community, and one another. The Brotherhood welcomes any brother willing to embrace the need that has come before the men in our community and church, and that's being available, assessable, and dependable. Through this, the Brothers have taken on the responsibility of providing a security ministry and assist in ushering on Sundays. Recently the Brothers have ventured into cultural endeavors booking lounge spaces, fishing trips, excursions to Hamburg, PA, and the upcoming "Gun Smoke Experience." We invite you to join us on Fridays and Sundays and be a part of a new experience for the Brothers, where we live by the moto;
"I am my Brother's keeper.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (AMP) “Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith. Act like men and be courageous; grow in strength! Let everything you do be done in love.”
